Thanks to the Department of Environmental Management and Pods Swimming in East Providence, our largest-ever group of young patients learned water safety and swimming skills this past summer. Pods has partnered with us since 2018 to give free lessons to young patients at PCHC, an opportunity these children would not have otherwise. There were more than 100 children enrolled in this latest series of classes, our largest number by far.

The funding from DEM was supplemented by a swim-a-thon fundraiser held by Pods to raise money for these lessons. Thank you to the Pods team for their ongoing commitment to teaching children this important life skill!
