Michael Izzi recognized as winner of President’s Award for Excellence
Michael Izzi, a support engineer in Information Technology who is known for his superlative customer service, has been named the winner of the President’s Award for Excellence. The President’s Award for Excellence is given to employees who demonstrate behaviors consistent with our core values and serve as a role model to others.
Michael’s award was announced by Merrill Thomas, President and CEO, at our most recent All Staff meeting. Michael was nominated by patient services representative Wanda Domenech, who describes him as “one of the most respectful and professional co-workers at PCHC.”
Wanda’s nomination reads, in part: “Michael will always help with any system or equipment issues that may arise at any time. He always has a great smile, a positive attitude, and is respectful to staff and patients in our waiting areas. If there is something that needs more attention or guidance from his supervisor, he lets you know that he will get back to you - and he does! Without employees like Michael and his peers, we couldn’t do our jobs and service our patients on a daily basis.”
“Thank you to the Executive Leadership Team and committee for voting for me and awarding me this honor,” said Michael. “I am truly grateful - and overwhelmed - for this acknowledgement. I thank all my IT Team colleagues for their constant assistance and support. To win this award is great, but to work with and support a tremendous number of dedicated and excellent workers, is better. Thank you all for your support and kind words.”
Congratulations again to Michael for being a role model, not just for those in your department but for the entire organization.
