Stephen O’Halloran has joined Providence Community Health Centers as Vice President & Chief Information Officer. Stephen brings more than 20 years of executive IT experience to the position, most recently as Chief Information Officer at The Dimock Center, a Boston-based Federally Qualified Health Center. During his tenure there, he worked with his team to grow IT services while realizing savings through innovation and use of new technology. He is an experienced leader in the use of EPIC, the electronic health record (EHR) adopted by PCHC in October 2023.

Stephen spent 12 years of his career with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where his responsibilities grew from management of a single hospital IT department to oversight of IT at three hospitals and a 150-employee provider group.

As BIDMC grew, Stephen led the integration efforts for technology and operations in the communityhospital and provider setting. These efforts resulted in the implementation of a single hospital EHR andsingle provider EHR allowing for unique patient records, integration points, scale, and growth. The effort allowed BIDMC to move from dozens of patient databases serving the community down to two. Stephenalso held the position of Market Director for two Massachusetts hospitals in the Tenet Healthcare system,where he was responsible for IT operations and EHR oversight. He holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Informatics from North Eastern University.
